OUR CONSULTANT’S EXPERIENCE
Jamie is a hands-on career salmon and fish farmer with thirty years of experience across the entire salmon farming value chain including feed, breeding and genetics, smolt production, RAS, sea farming, in-sea closed systems, open-ocean farming, harvesting, and processing. Eighteen of those years were as a Director with the world’s largest salmon farming company in leadership and management roles including Managing Director and Freshwater and Seawater Production Director.
Operating in challenging geographical, environmental, biological, and socio-political conditions in British Columbia, Atlantic Canada, Norway, and the USA, Jamie has been responsible for the development and operation of many broodstock farms, smolt production facilities, RAS facilities, and more than 100 sea farms. His extensive experience is supplemented by an MBA in Sustainable Innovation in Global Seafood from the Norwegian School of Economics, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from the University of New Brunswick, and Executive Development from the University of British Columbia Sauder School of Business.
